Thread Rolling Screws are not the same as Self-Tapping Screws as you can see. The threads match that of a machine screw thread. The shank is tri-angular, which is driven into the correct hole size, the thread is rolled and screwed in at the same time. These are also called by the original name "Tap-tite" which is a trade name.
