Female Standoffs are much like the Spacer, only the Standoff is threaded on the inside. Other names that are used for these are "Threaded Spacers". It's uses are much the same as a spacer. It is used to create a space between two objects and properly position them into place. You may find them used in in panels, circuit boards, doors and gears. These can be Round, Hex or Square in shape. The Hex shape style is a little more commonly used.
