Hex Cap Screws are very common in OEM markets as well as construction and other industries. The most common is made out of low carbon steel in a Grade 2, 5 and 8 for US measurements. In the Metric system there are grade 8.8, 10.9 and 12. Finishes vary for these screws but the most common is zinc.
These screws are also made in different type materials such as Stainless Steel, Brass, Nylon, Aluminum and a few others. The Hex Cap Screw has a washer face under the head and has a chamfered point. Different from the “Hex Bolt” as these do not have these features.
If you require RoHs Compliance, most of the items today are. But make sure you request this if needed.
