CMC’s three conductor solderless aluminum lugs feature unique ridges on the bottom of their contact surfaces that provide contact points for electrically secure joints of the lowest possible resistance for better current flow.These conductors’ clamp screws are designed to extend beyond the barrel sides, creating better, more secure compression of the conductors. This design spreads the conductor strands, helping to dissipate heat and improving pull-out safety features and capabilities.
PosiGrip conductors are manufactured with special wire ways that provide optimum current transfer. By providing a straight line flow through the connector, a path of lowest possible electrical resistance is created. Positive wire stops are provided with each connector.

CMC PosiGrip connectors are specially designed to meet the unique requirements of UL 468B and CSA1165A specifications. All are dual-rated for use with aluminum and copper conductors. Their low initial contact resistance ensures a long working life and helps meet a crucial requirement of 468B specs.
These three conductor aluminum lugs are engineered with unique I-beam bodies and conductor hole configurations, as well specially designed and treated screws. These features help reduce or eliminate high-resistance connector failures caused by insufficient clamping force, creep, and thermal expansion.
The I-beam design also provides superior gripping action through the set screw, enabling the separation of conductor strands and the breakdown of inner strand oxidation, even on compressed and compact aluminum conductors. This design provides unparalleled performance, longer working life, and greater flexibility, regardless of the conductor type used.
PosiGrip products are thoroughly inspected for dimensional accuracy, material quality, conductor hole and set screw alignment, and plating. Screw and body thread class are also checked.
All CMC solderless connectors are UL and CSA listed, RoHS compliant, and certified for use with conductors that have thermal insulation ratings of 90°C or less.
